Tom Ford “golden mink” eye shadow quad

When I heard that Tom Ford was launching a complete cosmetic line I remember counting the days before it landed at Bergdorf Goodman.  I could not wait to view  and swatch like mad the color line especially the shadows.  This man is so multi-talented from being the head designer at YSL and Gucci to creating collections for Estee Lauder then dabbling into movies and now creating a whole color line…amazing.  I did have high expectations of the Tom Ford line simply because he is known to be a perfectionist in every possible way and wants to be involved from start to finish.  So here I am anxious to touch one of his shadow quad and I was drawn to “golden mink” immediately.
This quad is very interesting simply because it looks different on everyone and in different lighting.
Its definitely “golden” but not too flashy or bright.  I love how the colors blend and the pigment is amazing on them.  There are two colors that are quite universal and blend able and the other two are sheer shine and glitter.  I have to say I don’t use the shiny ones much except if I want to add a touch of “glamour” to my finished eye look.  I have swatched some pictures with/without flash and also in the sunlight so you can see how the color changes.

I highly recommend you try this quad out.  Is it expensive?  Sure its Tom Ford and he isn’t exactly known to market anything low end but you do get a lot of product and it blends very well.
Would love to get feedback on what everyone thinks.  I will be reviewing more colors from his line as well as his brushes that I am in love with(possibly my favorite things in the whole line.)

Tom Ford is carried at Bergdorf Goodman and selected Saks or you can go on line for both retailers to view the colors.  Happy Shopping!
