Hello Gypsies! My lovely friends at Bergdorf Goodman were kind enough to inform me that the tester unit for Tom Ford Fall 2014 Makeup Collection has finally made an appearance and available to look at and lust over. Naturally, I had to hop in the car and race over to swatch everything. I was so excited I forgot my camera at home and only had my Iphone, but beggars can’t be choosers right? The point is, I got a good glimpse and swatched what I could without getting in the way of the customers waiting to be waited on. All I can say is it is definitely worth the wait. The launch date was mid August but has been moved back to last week of August so I will keep you informed along the way. For now, enjoy the images and call your nearest counter to put your name on the ones you know you must have!
This new Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in “Nude Dip”is really as pretty as it looks. It has great pigment and lots of pizzaz and shine. It is a sexy mix of taupe, peach, nude/gold and deep bronze brown which gives an overall look of “nude, shiny eye with depth. If you are looking for a matte, then this is not for you it is all shine from beginning to end. This will be the first product I purchase from the collection, I must own it! Retails for $79.
The Tom Ford Contouring Cheek Colour Duo is a blush/highlighter in one compact. These two new duos are absolutely stunning and have great pigment while very easy to blend. “Softcore” was my personal favorite since it was a soft coral shade with warm undertones whereas “Stroked” is a berry shade with cool undertones. I gather both will sell very well since new blush colors haven’t been added since Tom Ford Color has launched. These will retail for $77.
Two new colors to the “Private Blend Collection” have been added in shades Negligee, a cool toned rose and “Twist of Fate” a muted coral. These new lipsticks have great pigment and like the blush/contour duos, one is cool toned (negligee) and the other warmer )twist of fate.) Retails for $50.
Tom Ford Extreme Mascara in “Mocha Rush“is a gorgeous topaz/bronze mascara that has sparkle and shine. I haven’t used Tom Ford mascara before but I would buy this only for the color. It is suppose to compliment the “Nude Dip” Eye Color Quad so I suspect this will sell out as well. Retails for $44.
Overall, this collection is impressive and will definitely sell out so I highly recommend you put your name on the ones you know you must own. Quite frankly, they are all gorgeous and there is something for everyone.
If you would like to put your name on a hold list, you can contact a Tom Ford counter at Bergdorf Goodman( 212-873-2813) and ask for Winnie or call my girl Keke at the John Barett Salon (212-872-2700.) Will be available nationwide by end of August including Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Good luck!
