Sisley’s Phyto-Lip Twists ($50) are a favorite at Beautygypsy (Review HERE). When I heard six new shades were being added to their Spring 2016 Collection, I was absolutely ecstatic and then, immediately curious. It was love at first application with each and every new shade that touched my lips. Sisley has absolutely perfected these new shades from a Bridget Bardot nude lip to a sizzling and glamorous fuchsia pink. Let us take a look at these stunning shades:
These all-in-one formula lip twists deliver color, comfort and shine with precision. The texture allows you to apply this straight on your lips to define and color them in a single step. The coverage is adaptable and can be applied in different ways; single sweep for a colorful, glossy finish or add more for a vibrant finish. They are made from two plant origin active ingredients that help to make these pencils smoothing and firming with added protecting benefits. I love how I can toss these pencils in my makeup bag and practically apply them without making too much effort when I am on the go.
There are six new shades:
10 Sugar is a light-medium cool toned pink
11 Litchi is is light-medium rosy beige
12 Melon is a light, warm beige
13 Poppy is a light-medium coral red with warm undertones
14 Love is a medium-dark, cool-toned fuschia pink
15 Nut is a medium, warm toned nude with copper undertones
I was fortunate enough to receive all six shades. I was also very surprised that I was able to pull off all six shades, something that rarely happens when testing out new colors. Of course, some shades looked better then others against my skin tone but I was not disappointed with any of them. Shades 13 and 14 had more pigment and color and lasted for a good two hours before I had to reapply. The rest of the shades lasted about an hour which is a long time for me as nothing seems to last more then 20 minutes on my lips. Shades 11 and 12 have a Bridget Bardot look to them which compliment smoky eyes. Shade 15 is the most universally flattering color from the collection and predicted to sell out. These lip twist look like a subtle and natural stain but have a semi-glossy texture and feel to them. They are remarkably unique and luxury all the way.
Verdict? They are definitely pricey so I would buy shade #15 for a first purchase as it is an easy shade to wear all year round, both day and night. These new Phyto-Lip Twist from Sisley will not disappoint. The new shades are on point and absolute perfection in my book.
