Giorgio Armani Beauty presents the new Spring / Summer 2016 collection, inspired by the sepia photographs of the past. After viewing the new products at Saks Fifth Avenue, I decided I needed to have the new Sun Fabric Bronzer in shade #600 ($56) and Cheek Fabric Blush in Nudo/#100 ($48).  Let us first take a look at the Sun Fabric Bronzer:

This gorgeous textured powder bronzer is a cool-toned, rosy/brown color with slight shimmer that is not detected once applied.  I am a huge fan of Armani bronzers so it is no surprise that this shade was nothing short of fabulous.  I used my Suqqu Face Brush to swirl into the compact one time and transferred this magical color onto my cheekbones and temples.  The pigment is excellent and the application is very smooth and effortless.  I wore this bronzer a good six hours before seeing any fading or seperation.  As a matter of fact, it only looked better and very natural at the end of the day.  It made me look like I was slightly “contoured” but not unnatural.  My favorite aspect of this bronzer is the rosy undertones, it cancelled out my sallow skin and gave me a neutral, tanned look.  This shade is quite dark so it would suit medium to darker skin tones and can easily double as a contour powder.

The next product is the Cheek Fabric Blush in Nudo (#100), a neutral, light-toned, rosy/beige blush that is matte with no sight of shimmer or frost.  This is my firt Cheek Fabric Blush purchase and am still trying to decide if I really need it.  Let me start off by saying I found the texture to be silky and the pigment impressive.  The only issue is the shade was definitely too light for my medium-olive skin and served more as a powder then a blush.  What I did like is this again has rosy undertones and played well against my sallow skin by neutrlizing it.  I decided to use this for diluting my blushes if they are too bright, strong or warm-toned.  For that purpose, I could appreciate this blush but it is not a must but more of a compromise.  If you have fair skin with pink undertones on your cheek area, this blush would be a good choice.  It would cancel out the red and leave a hint of color to make you look flushed and natural.

Verdict?  I absolutely the texture and quality of both powders but prefer the bronzer for my skin tone.  It is more diverse and unique and can be used all year round.  The Cheek Fabric Blush is not a must-have for all skin-tones but still lovely in quality.  Armani rarely disappoints me and this only makes me want to purchase more products from the line.
