I am very excited to premiere my first interview on video with legendary makeup artist, Sandy Linter. I felt a written interview was not going to be as satisfactory or do anyone justice and was excited when she agreed to do this on video.
I knew about Sandy Linter when I was old enough to understand and appreciate the world of beauty and the people and artist behind it. Sandy’s name was frequently mentioned in numerous fashion/beauty magazines and was seen behind the scenes at major fashion shows. She has been in this industry over three decades and has seen and done more than most makeup artist out there. She has worked on famous faces such as Christie Brinkley, Brooke Shields, Bette Midler, Sigourney Weaver, Elizabeth Hurley, Patti Hansen, Candice Bergen, Jessica Lange, Queen Noor of Jordan and Cheryl Tiegs just to name a few.
These days, she contributes to major magazines like Vogue, involved in fashion, film and advertising shoots while being named “Lancôme Beauty at Every Age Expert” to her busy schedule. She also works part time at Rita Hazan in between her daily and hectic schedule.
I sat down with Sandy, at the Rita Hazan Salon where she works part time there, and had an informal woman to woman discussion on what we all want to know about…tips on how to look better and stories on Sandy’s career, which I promise you is worthwhile. My biggest admiration for her is her ability to work on all ages and tones, from celebrities to everyday mommies who just want to “look and feel better.” She might have a petite stature but she is a powerhouse who is in control of her surroundings and career, while commanding undeniable presence.
Her book “The Makeup Wakeup”, promises you that you will be inspired to want to wear makeup and look better. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
